Zenith CH650 B

In November 2024, EAA Chapter 461 took delivery of a Zenith CH650 B kit aircraft that was generously donated by a donor who wishes to remain anonymous. Per our agreement with the donor, and in the spirit of what we do as an organization, we are committed to completing this aircraft and transferring it to a privately held and funded aero club focused on youth aviation when it is finished.

This build project is open to public participation, and a public build schedule is currently under review. Once the schedule is finalized, build dates will be published here.

Along with a quick-build fuselage, standard build wings, and a standard build empennage, we also received some suggested color schemes for the finished aircraft.

A build team has been formed, and project leaders have established a build space in our hangar. They are now working on the inventory phase of the project where they will identify parts on hand and prioritize acquisition of parts required to complete the project.
