Due to airspace limitations imposed by the activation of Lewis’ Class Delta airspace in December 2022, pilots flying Young Eagles in association with EAA Chapter 461 are required to adhere to defined routes. Adhering to these routes helps maximize safety by establishing predictability and accountability for our volunteer pilots.

SOUTH routes are used on days when winds favor flight ops on Runway 18.

NORTH routes are used on days when winds favor flight ops on Runway 36.

SLOW routes are to be flown by aircraft with a cruising speed equal to or less than 87 knots (100 mph).
