About

EAA Chapter 461 is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based at Bolingbrook’s Clow International Airport (1C5) in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Our mission is to promote and advance general and experimental aviation while fostering interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). We engage people of all ages through educational activities, community outreach, and hands-on aircraft construction projects designed to inform, inspire, and connect.

Whether you fly, build, restore, or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our chapter. We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, pilots, aspiring pilots, and non-pilots who get together with like-minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community, and – most importantly – have a great deal of fun doing so!
